Logistics Officer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Scope of Work:
The Zaatari Logistics Officer is the overall responsible to ensure all logistics functions are properly set and reported in the area of operation. He/she reports directly to the Field Manager, and is responsible for the following key points in close coordination with the logistics coordinator and support to the Zaatari Program Staff.
Procurement:
  • Provide Logistical support to all Programs incompliance with IMC’s standard logistics procedures
  • Assist the program / project manager in planning and facilitate direct purchase procurement and following up on work orders, tenders and purchase orders incompliance with the procurement manual.
  • Ensure all received PR for local procurement are approved and contain appropriate specifications
  • Track and report on a monthly basis all processed PRs on the cost-point system or through the agreed PTS in place.
  • Assist Finance Department in any relevant procurement or services inquires related to the operational activities in the field.
  • Assist Logistics department to create vendors database and complete the vendor registration and update in regular bases.
  • Assist Program /site focal point to prepare the GRN/ SRN on the system and ensure to be delivered to procurement or finance department.
Fleet management:
  • Ensure that schedule /general maintenance is carried out in regular bases
  • Ensure that all the generators are maintained and refueled in a timely manner, including the implementation of the generator consumption and maintenance tracking tool. and update the logbook in regular bases.
  • Ensure that all vehicles (IMC owned) are maintained and refueled in a timely manner, including the consumption and maintenance tracking tool;
  • Support the coordination of movement of the IMC vehicles in Zaatari Camp and area of operation, and coordinate with the Head of Drivers on any travel arrangements and reservations needed;
Asset/Warehouse management:
  • Maintain and exercise general control on Zaatari store in accordance with IMC standard procedures;
  • Reports on a monthly basis all stored commodities to the logistics coordinator through the inventory report template;
  • Assist the asset controller in appropriately managing all assets and stocks in Zaatari Camp, including ensuring that IMC Jordan assets and inventory list is updated on a monthly basis, and that physical checks are regularly carried out;
  • Assist the Field Manager and Logistics assets controller  in any administrative requirements as well as Gift in Kind (GIK) for the camp, also in coordination with the IMC Amman GIK Officer;
Safety and security:
  • Following up with the Amman Security Manager regarding all the security matters in the camp and area, and manage the daily liaison with the SRAD in Zaatari Camp to issue security permissions for IMC vehicles, visitors and vendors;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Manager and/ or Logistics Manager

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor degree or any related experience.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in logistics and /or supply chain
  • People skills, supports diversity, employment law, results driven, professionalism, organization & judgment, approachable, able to form good relationships, effective organizational skills, team working skills, and interpersonal skills.
