Vaccinator Nurse

Scope of work:
  • Provision of clinical care and advice for women, their partners and families before, during and after childbirth.
  • Administration of antenatal care Vaccines in accordance with Ministry of Health and international guidelines.
  • Administration of Vaccines in accordance with Ministry of health and international guidelines.
  • Assist in treatment of sexually transmitted infections and other general gynecologic cases in coordination with gynecologist.
  • Examine and monitor pregnant women, carry out screening tests and identify high-risk pregnancies and referral as needed to obstetrician.
  • Provide information, offer emotional support and advice following events such as miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, neonatal abnormality and neonatal death.
  • Give support and advice on the daily care of the baby, including breast feeding and hygiene. 
  • Liaise with agencies and other health and social care professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide services for survivors of gender based violence.
  • Any other tasks deemed to be important by clinic management to promote the health of beneficiaries.
Reporting: 
  • Report any broken or missed items to Clinic Manager.
  • Report needed supplies, medications and equipment’s to Clinic Manager.
  • Able to report incidents and problems according to chain of command.
Others:
  • Participate in the training and supervision of junior colleagues.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
  • Documentation and filling forms needed.
  • Ensure cleaning of the clinic before and after use.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment’s after use.
  • Maintaining clinic fixed assets.
Qualifications:
  • Education/Degree: Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • Years of experience: Min (1)
  • NGO’s experience is preferred
