Context: 
Under the overall supervision of Chief of Mission and Emergency Coordinator and the direct supervision of M&E Officer the Programme Assistant (M&E) will responsible for deliverables outlined in the following sections:
Core Functions / Responsibilities: 
1.    Support the Jordan Cross Border Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in the implementation, periodic review, application and improvement of monitoring and evaluation systems of the Programme at Amman hub and field level, in order to measure the progress related to the achievement of the expected outcomes, outputs and activities defined in the project documents.
2.    Provide general assistance in the development and testing of M&E methods at all levels;   assist in the implementation of recommendations to improve the efficiency of current monitoring systems.
3.    Participate in the design, test and implementation of tools for data collection and data entry; support data collection, compile, analyze and reporting as required at all levels.
4.    Support the design of SMART indicators at a project, program and cluster levels
5.    Stay up to date regarding assessments and reports produced by other agencies and organizations and extract relevant and important information for use in IOM reporting
6.    Suggest quality control mechanisms to improve the quality of the collected information, ensuring consistency across field offices, programmers and donor requirements.
7.    Produce analysis of Programme data and suggest methods to use results for services and Programme improvement; work together with sectoral and Programme partners to gather and analyse data for project management and evaluation
8.    Follow up on findings and recommendations of Programme reviews and evaluations to verify if related recommendations are well-understood and taken into account for the continued implementation of the Programme and future project development
9.    Provide technical guidance, training and support to field staff and other implementing partners regarding M&E tools.
10.  Maintain appropriate liaison with Information Management Unit for tracking and reporting.
11.  Communicate donor reporting and implementation requirements to implementing partners including visibility guidelines.
12.  Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education & Experience
  •          Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, Development or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience;
  •          High school degree or equivalent diploma from an accredited academic institution, preferably in logistics, or related field with five years of relevant professional experience.
Languages
Fluent in English and Arabic, oral and written is required.
