Site Engineer


JEN, Japanese Emergency NGO working in Syrian refugees’ assistance in Jordan is seeking to recruit a well- experienced site engineer to work in infrastructure projects implemented in Zaatari camp -Mafraq.
Responsibilities: 
Job title: Site Engineer
  • Monitor and supervise construction and maintenance activities on sites and proactively solve problems in the field.
  •  Evaluate the needs for scope of work, its changes and communicate with the contractors and the Network Consultants necessary
  •  Verify the procedure of contractors’ safety
  • Verify contractors quality of work and evaluate their performance in the field
  • Implement of construction planning initiatives in coordination with all stakeholders (consultants, contractors, among internal staff)
  • Validate quantity and quality survey/assessment based consultant/UN agencies recommendations
  • Ensure the necessary permission from SRAD based on  construction work plans and drawings
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Minimum3 years' experience in infrastructure projects;
  • Proven ability to develop and produce civil engineering; drawings including experience with AutoCAD or other software
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both oral is required and written is preferable;
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment and international setting. Experience with international organizations is preferable;
  • Time management skills and working under pressure;
Salary will be determined based on experience
