Finance Officer

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Finance Officer is responsible of processing the daily accounting operations of Amideast-Jordan office, and providing financial information to management by researching, verifying, and analyzing accounting data. The finance Officer reports directly to Finance Manager.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Processes effective and efficient  day-to-day operations  of  the  Finance  department,
• Applies Amideast financial, accounting, and administration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and rules as specified by HQ and Regional Finance Officer (RFO),
• Implements financial,   accounting, and  administrative systems,  procedures  and -practices  across  the  organization,
• Prepares payment vouchers,
• Prepares receipts vouchers,
• Maintains established accounting policies,
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information,
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups,
• Maintains financial security by following in-house internal controls,
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements,
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential,
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed,
• Performs any other relative task assigned by the finance manager and/or requested by Country Director.


Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor Degree in Accounting,
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office Suite, in particular Excel, and ability to master other software quickly,
  • Fresh graduate or maximum (1) year of experience,
  • Data entry management and general math skills,
  • Accuracy, Attention to details, and time management,
  • Team player with excellent communications skills.
