Zaatari Driver

Scope of Work:
The Zaatari Driver will ensure that LWF Jordan staff are driven to LWF Peace Oasis in Zaatari camp every day. While in camp, he/she will assist the programs team to complete administrative tasks for project activities. The driver will be available for Zaatari staff to take them in and out of camp, as needed. 
Responsibilities:

  • A Provide transportation form the Head  Office, other employees of LWF office and visitors to the  Zaatari camp.
  • Coordinate logistic related  work with Amman logistics team such as Collect quotes and purchase Goods  in Zaatari Camp and Mafraq municipality .
  • Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
  • Collect payments
  • Complete logs and Paper required.
  • Keenly monitor the security of vehicle, authorized passengers and luggage in line with the vehicle policy.
  • SRAD permissions (alternative collector, if assistant is not able, of permissions for cars and visitors)
  • Assist the Zaatari Manager in preparing permissions for goods to come into Zaatari Camp.
  • Any other task requested by the Line Manager.
Service Vehicle Mainenance Management
  • Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle needs, keep track of general maintinence schedules, especially car tire conditions
  • Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary
  • Check oil tires properly and keep the service vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside
  • Keep track of timely car insurance renewals
  • Maintain log book and update daily/monthly mileage records
  • Report all major and minor damages and accidents on the vehicle and hand to the supervisor in line with LWF policies
Professional Standards:
  • The LWF and LWF workers must adhere to the values and principles outlined in the Code of Conduct.
Requirements:
  • Diploma degree, with a credit in English.
  • 1-3 years Experience working with other NGOs and local partners.
  • Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver; holds a certificate in automobile mechanics as an added advantage
  • Valid professional driver’s license
  • Good driving record with no traffic violations
  • Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psycholocically stressful environments, and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
