Purchasing Officer

Introduction:

We heavily invested on technology and environmental concerns and were among the firsts to become an ISO certified company.
In 2009, our rapid growth was overwhelming, and rather than creating another business entity, we acquire a competitor broker Eco-Office.

Job Responsibilities:
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for creating, managing and running Procurement and logistics department at EuroSurplus office in Amman and handling procurement logistics functions in EuroSurplus Offices outside Jordan, The Purchasing and Logistics Officer reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Main tasks and duties:
  • Contacting clients in Europe (via phone and e-mails).
  • Generating new leads with potential clients.
  • Negotiate offers and close deals.
  • Generate PO’s (Purchase Orders) and follow up with clients.
  • Hit a certain daily target of leads and calls along with a quarterly target.
  • Using our company system and report any issues, suggest any enhancements.
  • Search and add clients and companies from out of our system.
  • Arranging for PO’s (Purchase Orders) payments and prepayments.
Job Requirements
  • University Degree or diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year professional experience in Procurement Logistics/Operations.
  • Fluency in English and any of the European languages (German, Spanish, French, Italian, Swedish and Danish)
  •  Good organizational, diplomatic and reporting skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing techniques
  • Excellent Business correspondences skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills
  • Able to follow up on tasks with minimum supervision
  •  Strong sense of personal integrity
